Plans, rights and privacy

Do I need the rights to a song to split it?

Yes. Before anything is processed, a box asks you to confirm you have the rights to use the song, such as your own recording or a track licensed to you.

Every plan: the same rights rule.

What it looks like in the chat

The audioworker chat after the message “Split my band’s demo.”: Thanks for confirming the rights. Your band’s demo is split into vocals, drums, bass and other. How it works

  1. Bring a song you made, own, or have a licence to use.
  2. Tick the rights box the chat shows before the split.
  3. Use what you make within those rights.

Say it your way

  • Split my band’s demo.

  • Split this track I licensed for my video.

  • Is it OK to use a song from YouTube?

Good to know

The box appears for uploads, YouTube links, lyrics you paste, reference tracks and hummed tunes. One tick covers that kind of request for the chat, so you are not asked again and again.

Copyright owners can report a problem through the DMCA Policy. When you are not sure about a song, use your own recordings, royalty-free music you are licensed to use, or make a new song with AI.
