How to change one line of AI vocals

Quote the words and the new ones: “change ‘we never slept’ to ‘we never stopped’”. When the take allows it, only that line is sung again on the same melody, as a new take beside the old one.

Studio: a line change uses a little of the HD and AI minutes.

Step by step

  1. Open the track with the AI vocals.
  2. Say which words to change and what to change them to.
  3. If the take has more than one such line, pick it.
  4. Choose to keep the melody, then confirm.

Say it your way

  • Change “we never slept” to “we never stopped”.

  • Replace the second line of the chorus in AI vocals 2.

  • Change the last line, same melody.

Good to know

Keeping the melody works on AI vocal takes made with line timing, which newer takes have. A choir, a take in your own voice or a switched voice cannot keep its melody this way yet; the chat says so and offers new takes with the new words, where the melody changes.

One or two lines next to each other can change at a time, and a new line with about the same number of syllables keeps the tune best. Mute the old take to hear only the changed one.
