How to change one line of lyrics in an AI song

Quote the line and the new words: “change ‘sky is blue’ to ‘sky is grey’”. Only that line is sung again, on the same melody, and the rest of the song stays as it was.

Studio: a line change uses a little of the HD and AI minutes.

What it looks like in the chat

Step by step

  1. Open the chat with the song, or play it from your library.
  2. Say which words to change and what to change them to.
  3. If the line appears more than once, pick which one.
  4. Choose “keep the melody”, then confirm.

Say it your way

  • Change “my hero” to “my captain”.

  • Replace the first line of the second chorus with “we never slept”.

  • Change the last line of the bridge.

Good to know

Keeping the melody works best when the new line has about the same number of syllables as the old one. Many more syllables can change the tune of that line. If you would rather have new versions with a new melody, the chat offers that too.

The same works for AI vocals added to a track: a line of a take can be changed while its melody stays. A line the AI cannot place in time is not offered, so it never re-sings the wrong spot.
