How to make a karaoke version of any song
Ask the chat to remove the vocals, listen in the player, then ask for the download. The karaoke version is the instrumental exactly as you hear it, as an MP3 or a WAV.
Free: 20 songs a day with downloads. Studio: 500 minutes a month and HD splits.
What it looks like in the chat
Step by step
- Bring the song as a file or a YouTube link and confirm you have the rights.
- Say “make a karaoke version of this”.
- Change the key if the melody sits too high or too low for you.
- Ask for “the karaoke version as an MP3” and save the file from the Downloads card.
Say it your way
Make a karaoke version of this and give me an MP3.
Two semitones down, then the karaoke version as a WAV.
Remove the vocals but keep them at 20 percent as a guide.
Good to know
The download renders the mix as it plays: the muted voice stays out, and the key, the levels and any section you picked are in the file. That means you can shape the karaoke version by ear first, then save exactly that.
For a party, an MP3 is the smallest file. For a stage or a video edit, ask for a WAV, which is lossless. You can also ask for an MP3 at −14 LUFS so the track sits at the same loudness as streaming songs.
