How to download one stem as a WAV file

Ask for “the bass stem as a WAV” (or vocals, drums, other). The file appears in a Downloads card in the chat, ready to save.

Free: stem downloads on every plan.

Step by step

  1. Split the song first.
  2. Say which stem and which format: “send me the drums as a WAV”.
  3. Save it from the Downloads card. The link stays good for a while; ask again for a fresh one later.

Say it your way

  • Send me the bass stem as a WAV.

  • All four stems as MP3s.

  • The vocals as a WAV, from 1:00 to 2:00 only.

Good to know

A WAV is lossless, which is best for editing in a music app or for a remix. An MP3 at 256 kbps is smaller and fine for listening. If you do not say, you get an MP3.

A single stem is the stem as it was split. If you want your changes in the file, such as a lower key, a mute in the middle or effects, ask for the mix instead: the mix download renders what you hear.
