How to add my own recording to a song as a stem

Attach your recording and say “add this to my song as a stem”. Tick the rights box, and it joins the track’s stems in the player, where you can move it in time and mix it.

Every plan: your own stems use storage.

  • Add this recording to my song as a stem.

  • Move my guitar stem 0.2 seconds earlier.

  • Turn my harmony down a little.

Good to know

Your recording becomes a stem of the track, not a new song, so it is in every mix and download from then on. It uses storage like any stem.

If you recorded with a count-in or a gap at the start, ask to move it until it lines up: a stem you added can be shifted in time.

Try it on your own song.
