How to mute the vocals in only one part of a song

Say which stem and which part: “mute the vocals in the second verse”. Only that range goes quiet, the rest of the song plays as before, and you can fade the edges or restore it.

Free: muting and fading ranges works on every plan.

  3. Ask for a fade in or out at the edges if the change is too sudden.
  4. Say “restore” to bring that range back.

Say it your way

  • Mute the drums from 1:20 to 1:45.

  • Fade the vocals out at the end of the chorus.

Good to know

A muted range belongs to one stem, so “mute the vocals in the bridge” keeps the band playing. When you name a part, the chat reads the song to find its seconds, and if the song has no such part it asks you for the times.

The range is saved with the track and is in every download of the mix. Restoring it puts the stem back as it was in that range, without touching your other changes.
